Main duties of the job:
· To work as a student Specialist Community Public Health Nurse within the community as a member of a multi-disciplinary Health Visiting & School Nursing Team.
· To work under the guidance of both a Practice Supervisor and a Practice Assessor
· To work with the academic tutor responsible for overseeing your progress and engage in use of the learning facilities provided by the University.
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust have an ambitious recruitment plan to increase the number of health visitors and school nurses into our established workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your professional career, where upon successful completion of the course, you will gain the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Qualification (SCPHN) and become a registered Band 6 Health Visitor or School Nurse.
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse (Adult/Child/MH) or Registered MW on Part 1 or 2 of the NMC Register and hold a valid up to date registration with their professional body.
