ChatHealth is a confidential text messaging service for young people aged 11-19 years of age living and/or educated within the East Riding.
ChatHealth can also be accessed by young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities up to the age of 25. This messaging service enables young people to easily get in touch with their local School Nurses to discuss a range of topics and worries they may have, or make an appointment with a health practitioner. They can also find out how to access other local services including emotional support or sexual health services.
Here are some examples of issues you can discuss using ChatHealth:

Young people can text anytime. We will respond from 09:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday excluding bank holidays. We have experienced clinicians online waiting to answer and deal with any messages from young people. During out–of–hours, anyone who texts the service will receive an automated message with advice on where to get help if their question is urgent.
